Attendant Care

Attendant Care
Attendant Care is an in-home services waiver program designed to offer individuals with physical disabilities the ability to live independently in the privacy of their own homes. The program assists recipients to remain at home, attend school, go to work and participate in activities in the community.
Services Available
- Assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, dressing, oral hygiene, assist with transferring
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Light housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry
- Attendants scheduled to assist consumers on days as requested
- Self-directed and agency model of service are available to consumers
Eligibility
- Age 18 through 59
- Mentally alert with a physical disability that is expected to last for one (1) year or longer.
- The applicant must reside in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware and Bucks counties.
Cost to Consumer
Services for Attendant Care are funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and are provided at no cost for individuals who meet the financial requirements established in this program. For others who do not meet this qualification, Pennsylvania has developed a fee scale to help with the cost.
