Personal Assistance Services
Care for Seniors.
Personal Assistance Services (PAS) for the Elderly
PAS is an in-home personal care services program designed for the elderly. This program allows elderly recipients to hire and employ the caregivers they choose and trust to assist with the activities of daily living.
Services Available
- Bathing, toileting, dressing and assistance with mobility
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping
- Accompanying the senior to the doctor
- Performing criminal background checks
- Obtaining Worker’s Compensation Insurance
- Payroll and tax administration
Eligibility
- Age sixty (60) or above
- A recipient of services through the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging and County of Delaware, Office of Services for Aging.
- The applicant must reside in Philadelphia or Delaware Counties.
Cost to Consumer
Services for Personal Assistance Services are funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and are provided at no cost for individuals who meet the financial requirements. For those who do not meet the financial requirements a fee scale has been developed to assist with the cost.
